I work as a financial/marketing consultant providing support and technical expertise in Estate Planning, Intergenerational Wealth Transfer and Tax Sheltered Investments for affluent clients. I help clients provide peace of mind, and provide financial security for all encompassing risk and financial security needs. Why you have joined the Mavericks: I have joined in order to give back to the community. When approached by the Mavericks to become a member, I was honoured. I feel that charitable causes are important, but even more so when it comes to children. Being involved with charitable causes that involve kids ensures that what we are doing can, and will, have an impact for these individuals for many years to come. Your Thoughts/Views on Charitable Causes: Too many people just donate money to causes - not really knowing where and how, or even if money is really making a difference. If you really want to make a difference in charitable causes - Get Involved ! Not only are charities short on money, they are also short on credible volunteers. Charities are not a cause, but rather the result of people that really want to make a difference. Who is an inspiration to you? My father, Barry Stangeland, is an inspiration to me. How will you measure the success within the Mavericks this year? This is a pivotal year for the Mavericks. I believe the year will be a success - if, an only if, our profile is raised in order that more people are aware of the good that the Mavericks do. I would love to see more charities being funded from the events and planning that we as a group do.
