Owner Operator Lakeside Golf Club, Executive Golf Professional of the Canadian PGA. Why you have joined the Mavericks: I was introduced to this group by Ken Elias. Ken is a close friend and someone who I have a great amount of respect for. Meeting more of the Mavericks sold me on the idea of becoming one. I believe our values are all very similar, I enjoy the camaraderie of others with similar views and am happy to be apart of a group that keeps the community in mind. Your Thoughts/Views on Charitable Causes: We are very active within our community and the city of Calgary. We provide over 400 rounds of golf annually to charities and youth groups. We also host the Lakeside Charity Golf a Thon which is in its 15 year of operation. We have raised more than $800,000.00 for two local charities, STARS Air Rescue and Calgary Crime Stoppers. Who is an inspiration to you? My parents, both have shown unconditional love and support their entire lives. They are my inspiration and I strive to carry on what they have taught me. How will you measure the success within the Mavericks this year? My success will be within the group and meeting the Mavericks on a more personal basis. I look forward to meeting all of these guys and will offer my services in anyway that I can. Other Points of Interest: Family: Tannis McBean - My Wife Tannis is a Partner in Sierra Systems, a Technology firm with offices in Canada and The United States. Tannis leads Healthcare Technology for Sierra Systems for Western Canada and the United States. Prior to this position she was the CEO of the Mineral Springs Hospital. We have been married 7 years. Taylor Page - My Step Daughter Taylor is an ambitious young lady who is attending the University of Victoria. She enjoys skiing, horseback riding and scuba diving. Favourite Country Star: Shania Twain for obvious reasons! Favourite Western Movie: Any Clint Eastwood movie Hobbies/Activities: Golf, Scuba Diving, Wine, House Parties Golf Handicap: Do not have a handicap Anything else: We are beginning our next stage of life, with our daughter in university we have more time to ourselves. We are members of Red Mountain Ranch in North Mesa. We have a home on the golf course and are spending more of our winter time away. This new freedom has both of us very excited.
